Thee Inland Emperors car club wins this year's Rod Builders Best Traditional or Old School Hot Rod Award at the Spokane Auto Boat Speed Show.
Usually RBI gives this cash prize to an individual, which if we had been pressed to do so we would have to go with John Gunsaulis and his '32 Phaeton, but the soul of the American hot rodder is alive and well in all the Emperors and we felt the whole group deserved recognition. The club featured the following cars in their display:
John Gunsaulis' '32 Ford Phaeton (See Dec. 2008 issue of Goodguys Gazette for full story)
Chris Baker's '29 Ford
Chris Baker's '29 Ford
Devin Corbit's '36 Ford
Chris Swenson's Model A
Long live the Emperors. We look forward to their next project. We hear they may be planning their own car show in place of this year's Hotrod-A-Rama. P.S. Just to be clear, this photo and the one of the ladies is not of the Emperors. Unfortunately, The Skirt did not pay attention to the name of the photographer and so does not know whom to credit. Pretty sure no one reads this blog anyway.

Your wrong, I read it and some of my friends read it. Well... I read and my friend looks at the pictures.
That pleases us. Hope you check back often.
Please know that you have at least one more fan. I usually check in about once a week. I appreciate the ability to see (and hear) the progress on a project, even though I live quite a distance away from RBI.
