Old Skool and Kustom Show

Spokanites love cars, all kinds of cars. You get some nice weather like what we had Saturday and folks want to go for a drive. We took our '62 Mercury station wagon to the Country Place Tavern to met up with friends and have a beer.
Here's a little video of some of the stuff we saw.

Bid D's '40 - Sweeeeeeeeet Ride

Dennis and Dawna Reed's '40 Chevy is getting shipped today. Integrating the electronics on this beauty took some extra brain power, but it all turned out pretty slick. This is one of the shops favorite cars. It has primer and no interior work, but its a handling, cruisin' machine. The Reeds "rum runner" will appear at various venues this summer. This car has a fuel injected junkyard motor and tranny that bring reliability and economy to an otherwise classy dirt rod.

Big D's '40 Idles in The Sun

Vendor delays put this "rum runner" in the corner over the winter, but she's back and nearly to the point the customer wants her. The guys took the car out for a little drive around the industrial park yesterday. The Skirt caught them idling in the parking lot.

Big D's '40 Chevy

Dennis Reed's chopped '40 Chev Sedan is getting close to leaving. Dennis wanted a safe and reliable whiskey runner-style car. We found a nice fuel injected Vortec 350 Chev with a 4L80E trans. With the running gear that Tim's Hot Rods intalled a couple years ago (Mustang II front and 4-bar rear with a Ford 9inch), it'll be a great road trip wagon. Remote Canadian border crossing, here we come.
