Taking A Blogging Break - Check Back Later Tator

The Skirt is off to visit her folks in Tacoma, so no new posts for a little while longer. The shop is humming with some cool stuff. Will share, when I get back.

Ford Golden Jubilee On the Farm

Found this slide of Bob's grandparents working with their Golden Jubilee. Like most small farms across America, having a multipurpose hard working tractor like the Golden Jubilee allowed farmers to get so much more done in a day, which of course translated into more profits and less heartaches and perhaps a few less backaches for the average farm family. Bob remembers his father telling him how important the tractor was to the family. We're glad we can keep her going.

1950's - 60's Pinup Matchcovers

Bob's folks are clearing out some clutter and they sent us a box of pinup matchcovers. They know we like that sort of thing around here. The man pictured below, Bob's dad, Paul Bissonette would tuck 'em in his shirt pocket before leaving the Drummond Bar. He remembered at least six times to take them out of his pocket before laundry day. Happy 77th Birthday, Paul!

Bob & Twin Brother Bill, A Lesson in Genetics

Bob and Bill (in blue) celebrated their 50 birthday with their wives and seven of their friends in Key West a few weeks ago. Bill lives in South Carolina now and the twins only see each other every few years or so, but notice their choice of facial hair, sunglasses, beverage. Also both were compelled to repair Bill's wife's battery powered birthday crown. It was Athena and friend Jean's birthday too.
