Don't know who owns this, but it's cool.
and so is this. There were half a dozen more, but couldn't get a decent photo. Of course a few of the cars pictured above spent some time in our shop and if its wrong to love a car you've worked on, then our heart just won't let us be right.

Dennis Akers' '34 Ford Truck

Our good friend Dennis Akers came by for a visit last Thursday and to show us his newest home-built, this lavender '34 Ford pickup. The truck won a "pick" at the Goodguys in Puyallup and caught the eye of Goodguys owner, Chuck Metters. When we last saw Dennis at the Goodguys show here in Spokane Saturday he had another one of the coveted stickers on his headlight. Dennis does beautiful work.

Saturday at the Goodguys Show - Spokane

Spent Saturday morning at the Goodguys Great Northwest Nationals here in Spokane. Our friend Sara Peterson and her children enjoy dressing the part. Check out those tats! Sara and her husband Darrel own Gunner Productions hot rod shop in Post Falls, Idaho. We are dealing with record breaking heat this weekend in Eastern Washington, which may keep some folks away from the show. We'll see how it all shakes out. More blogging and our favorite cars on Monday. Bye

Chuck McVey is Lost in the '50's with his '41 Ford

Sandpoint, Idaho hosted their annual "Lost in the 50's Cruise and Car Show" this past weekend, May 16 & 17th. Despite the heat wave Chuck said he had a great time. "I met some of the nicest people." We told Chuck that having a collector car is more fun than a fishing boat.

Thanks Dennis and A.D.D. Garage

Friend, customer and blogger Dennis Kelly pressed us to get our web site and blog going. He was the kick on our backside, the bee in our (my) bonnet, the big chief motivator and we are grateful. Thanks Dennis for all your help. Check out his car themed blog at addgarage.blogspot.com. Scroll down his blog to read about the headers Shaun put on his Speedster. Below are a few pics of the project in progress.

2007 RBI Pig Roast

We really enjoyed hosting all of you at our home this year. More thanks to those of you who brought food to share. The menu worked out perfectly with lots of delicious choices and heaps of desserts. It's nice there are still some dedicated and creative cooks out there. One more thank you is due to all of you car buffs who drove your cars up our hill. It was quite a site seeing them parked on our lawn such as it is. (The lawn that is.) Next year we hope to make it even bigger and better. Hope to see you there.
